couple questions about fuel filter change...

so i'm way over due on a fuel filter change considering they need to be changed every 15k miles...

i can feel the car bogging slightly at WOT so I'm pretty sure it's the fuel filter considering i have a new cone filter and brand new OEM spark plugs (never gonna change these again!).

So i took a look at the FAQ and the actual fuel filter in my car.. .i can see how people have problems accessing the bottom part of it at least. The way I see it, i'll remove the top hose off, remove the bracket, then take the bottom part off hoping I have enough slack to get a good grip and turn it so i can take that last metal tie securing the bottom hose.

I read that it is sometimes hard to remove those hoses if there's pressure in the car... basically, pull the fuse and crank the car a couple times. Would opening up the gas tank cap help as well? I only ask this because when my car is empty on gas and I open that up when filling gas, I can hear air suck in there... would it make a difference?

Another thing, I have ABS... and I see those lines running real close. I really wanted to get the 300Z fuel filter which is $20 at my dealership, but it might be a tight fit... anyone with ABS get it in okay? According to the FAQ, it may not even work at all... just wanted to make sure.

finally, any tips?

its not that hard man, i did it and dropped in new TTz32 filter. just unplug the fuse, crank it a coupla times so the pressure is released. take off the top hose then unscrew the bottom one and start turning the filter while pulling on the bottom hose, thing comes off easy !!!
