Mobil 1 results...opened my valve covers today and...

...

I couldnt believe how clean my heads, valves and cams all were... Currently I have 80k and I've been running Mobil 1 Synthetic for about 40k. I had a leaking rear valve cover gasket that was leaving a mess every time I parked so I decided to change it...

What a job! Removing the intake was a ****.. not so much the wiring but finding the 2 hidden bolts that go onto the rear of the intake on 2 brackets next to the firewall and my favorite... the egr's 2 bolts... what a pain the *****.. but anyway I pulled the valve covers off and after all that work it felt good to see how nice my engine was inside. I dont think I've ever seen an engine so clean

I dont care what anyone says, as expensive as it is, I'll be using Mobil 1 synthetic till this baby runs into the ground.. and any future cars that come my way.

In reference to the 2 manifold bolts and 2 egr bolts, that's a walk in the park for us VI folks.

the oil info was good to hear also.

Change intervals are every 3 to 5k... I know it sounds bad but I have issues concerning time...

This interval I went all the way up to 7k with an OEM filter, I knew it was beyond pushing it so I figured I"d change it as I did this job at my friends shop... oil changes were never so easy with a lift

Who knows deezo maybe one of these days I'll get a MEVI for the hell of it... we'll see what the future brings... I had the money and plans and time for a 5 speed swap and stillen V2 but I'm done with the whole speed thing... I'm just going to end up repainting and getting a body kit... I havent decided yet but I'm about 80% sure I'm going to get an air suspension... we'll see..

Either way I'm glad I use Mobil...

edit... the FEl Pro gasket set comes with both valve cover gaskets, spark plug tube seals and grommets for all the bolts on the valve cover... I replaced all of them as well... and the upper intake manifold gasket, which is sold separately.. it sure as heck is not a job for a novice.

M1 is good stuff. I will be replacing my rear spark plug seals this weekend. Found one leaking when I changed the plugs. Had a Pita of a time with the two rear bolts. Should be easier this time since I put some anti-seize on them.
