Slick 50 - Transmission Repair

Some of you have preconceived notions about this product, and I was wondering what those are...

I personally tried the product for my transmission, and I found that my shifts from 1->2 were smoother. I can't compare them to the smoothness acquired by changing to synthetic (won't change to synth until spring), but for $10, there is noticeable reduction in the sticky shift from 1 to 2.

I am open to opinions and suggestions.

I believe that auto rx is a better solution to transmission issues. Before you change to synthetic this spring, the auto rx will clean it out in 500-1500 miles by liquifying the contaminants.

slick 50 made my first 3 1-2 shifts smooth.. and then that's it. I've learned to live with the 1-jerk-2.

It's been a couple of weeks now, and the effects of Slick 50 have worn off (like someone else said).

This product is garbage, if you ask me. I am going to get my money back.

Do a drain and flush until the fluid comes out clean.

if your car is older and going to die soon, use Lucas automatic transmission fix.

that stuff works magic on old transmission. i got another 60k km out of mu 190E with that thing. It would have gone to the boneyard 3 years ago had it not been for that lucas.

mind you I did not care about the car. DO NOT use this stuff if you want to keep your car for a long time, it will eventually make the problem worse after it wears off.

This stuff is magic when you want to sell cars though....
