I personally would stay away from Pennzoil and Quaker State oils...heard they have parafin which builds up sludge alot quicker overtime....the only Dino oil I would go with is Castrol GTX....great reviews all over the boards about how it withstands high thermal tolerances....

not really post whoring...i was very curious as to how this oil would affect the vq30de...i mean...isn't that what forums is for...as for finding the right section i guess i got a little bit excited...

the quaker state oil thing...i thought...hey...its time for an oil change...its on sale and i havent heard anyone hate on it...why not be a guinea pig?!i didnt think i would get responses such as this...

whats wrong with trying on a new oil??wtf???whoever said this was wrong...it's like when someone puts up a review on a new part or something...

IMO...the quaker state oil does better than Pennzoil (i used pennzoil before i found out about its negative properties)

and steven88...this does have meaning...i don't see how this would be meaningless...

 

Think before making threads in the future. Why make a thread now and not after a few thousand miles have been put on the oil? What's the point of it now? You'll put the new oil in and you'll come here saying "Oh ****, the car runs awesome with Cracker State". Of course it will you just put in new freaking oil. WHat did you expect?

 

what meaning does it have? me and about 3-4 other people in this thread think this is meaningless...and you STILL haven't explained yourself the meaning of this thread....you basically wrote "i just bought some quaker state today, i am going to tell you about it after i'm done"...then you come back sayin "IMO, quaker state is better than pennzoil"....

 

i can recall before that right after pennzoil was in...it felt sluggish..i dont have that feeling with QS.

you could have put in Kmart oil into your engine.

When you are done with the oil change.. you will still have nothing to report.
