Shifts as smooth as butter.

I just switched out the gl-5 gear oil in my transmisson i put in 2 weeks ago.
I replaced it with pennzoil synchro mesh and it shifts so smooth. With the other oil it was kinda notchy in 2nd and 3rd. Anybody else running pennzoil? Im gonna wait to order some redline mt-90 till i change my cv-axle.

I just checked Pennzoil website and it says that Syncromesh is only for GM and Chrysler.

It is more than likely on the bottle that it satisfies multiple "GL" grades but I would only use a specific GL-4, like the MT-90 you mentioned.

Do not use Syncromesh in a Maxima gear box, even Pennzoil says not to use it as it is not Gl rated, and may harm your syncros as well. They make a true GL-4 rated 75W-90 synthetic, which would be fine.....................
