AutoZone sale on german castrol!
Just stocked up on German Castrol at AutoZone. They have a special for the next couple weeks. Each 6 quarts of any Castrol oil purchased, you get a 5 dollar AutoZone gift card. (took all my cards and bought more GC)
Will check the color when I open the stuff, I heard it's gold now. $5.99 a quart and you get almost 1 more quart with each gift card. Not too bad......

Has anyone noticed the slight differences in the labeling of the bottles?
1. Gold is API- SL, SJ, CF. Green is just API- SL, CF.
2. Green is Porsche approved and Volvo app. Gold is not.
3. Green reads, "Syntec 0W30 has an exceptional low teperature formulation which provides exceptional pumpability in cold weather and allows for unaided engine starts down to -40 F. Gold has no such designation.
4. Green meets catalyst/emission system capability requirements of ILSAC Gf-3 and GF-2. Gold says nothing of the sort.
Comments..?

I switched to Gold GC after M1 and my car started to leak oil and burn some oil, i used GC for about 2-3 oil changes and went back to M1, no more adding oil between changes. I have around 200k and have been using M1 since 67k.
Small leak still persists.
