Regular gear oil recommendations?
Want to drain and refill my 95 Max 5-speed tranny since I recently bought the car and have no idea the last thing it was changed. I've read the synthetic gear oil stickie, but what oil would ya'll recommend if I decide to not go the synthetic route? Nissan uses a regular GL-4 gear oil from the factory, correct?

Correct. But you will find it easier to find a synthetic GL-4 fluid -- both Amsoil and Red Line have the fluid. You don't use that much that the higher cost of synthetic should be a problem. Talkinghorse on this site offers Amsoil at a discount to all posters here.
