Redline D4 ATF?

Apparently it's used in some manual trannies?
The Royal Purple Syncromax is similar.

Anyone know the viscosity of this oil?

I know it can be used in my BMW transfer case, along with the Redline MTL gear oil on the flipside. How are the two even related? I never knew an ATF can provide even close to the same protection a gear oil can. Someone please explain.

My furrow ran atf in the transaxle. My 84 bronco and my Chevy wit a np203 used atf in the transfer case, however I replaced the atf in the transfercases with motor oil.
