Transmission rebuid shop in Northern Virginia Washington DC Area

I have a 1998 Nissan Maxima with an Automatic Transmission. The car was running beautifully until a few months ago when the car stop shifting into overdriver. The check engine light came on and when I checked the ATF it smelt burnt. I did change the ATF last summer. Anyway I took it to a local Transmission shop and they told me that I didn't have 4th and 2nd gear which was no surprise to me. They said I need to have my transmission rebuilt.

My questions is anyone know of a good transmission shop in the northern verginia, washington DC area. I've heard rebuilding a transmission is tricky and if you don't have a good experince shop do it then you'll be in the shop alot afterwards and could get costly.

Also should I ask the shop to rebuilt the transmission or do a complete overhaul of the transmission.

If anyone wants to email me with shop recommendations my email address is: patelu74@hotmail.com

Thanks in advance!

Try posting in the regional forums, you'll probably get some more responses
