Got some tool storage

Finally picked up a tool cabinet.
Its made by Waterloo and I got it at Home Depot for $890.
Has ball bearings and everything else like Craftsman...but i got the top and bottom for cheaper than just the Craftsman bottom part.

Now I need to organize all the tools in it.

Picking up a workbench tomorrow.

nice! looks identical to mine in size and drawer arrangement, except for mine has one large middle drawer right above the other one. Otherwise it looks damn near identical. Good pickup.

get rid of that weak-azz shelving there though. That shiz holds like 20 pounds.

Go to HD or Harbor freight and pick up some heavy-duty steel shelf units, they're the best.

Caped, most of them are off junkyard cars or stock pulls that are in good shape. I keep them around for 'emergency spares' or for broke college kids that have a dead car and need a cheap solution.

Sooner, those are the cheapo home depot shelves. the "MDF" on them is very thin and doesn't hold much weight. You can buy good wire-only shelves from Sams for only a little more and they will hold up MUCH better... expecially when you start putting things like engine parts or differentials that are heavy in one spot and maybe leaking a bit of oil. on that cheap fiberboard crap, they droop and sag pretty bad after a couple months. metal shelves won't do that. spend the extra money and buy good shelves!
