I would have never thought I'd fall prey to a late night infomerical, but when I saw the Jawhorse, I was sold (*sucker*). http://www.rockwelltoolsdirect.com/j...workbench.html To my surprise, the Jawhorse is available locally at Lowes. I went and bought one today and it's everything they advertize and more. The thing is rock solid and not a cheap flimsy part to be found. I bought materials make a platform for my miter saw too. The clamping force is crazy and it's currently holding in place an old Honda mower I'm bringing back to life. It truely is a mobile work bench and such a simple and effective design. If you're a DIYer with limited space, check it out. The welding station you can buy looks sweet too for $69.

I saw that infomercial and now want one too. It's good to hear it actually works as promised.

 

This is year 3 on mine. I use it for so many different things from heavy duty to light duty. Definitely recommend it.

 

I have heard the jawhorse is pretty solid as well, glad it's working out well for you.

 

Worth trying for that cheap.

I see the original poster mentioned it holding an old Honda motor??? Are we talking an automobile engine or a weed wacker?

 

Sorry to tell you this but you mis-read the post. He said mower as in lawn mower. I think a motor is more weight than the manufacturer recommends. But like the infomercial I saw for the saw horse showed, I can clamp a 2x4 in it and sit on it. My fat butt is no problem for it.
