Replace Air Conditioning Suction Hose

I have a 2005 Nissan Maxima and the suction hose for the air conditioner is cracked. I have the replacement part but I am not sure about how to install it. It looks to just be one bolt but is there any time of oil or grease that needs to be put on the fitting?

Also I was looking for a how to video. Does anyone know where I can find one of those?

Thanks

When you loosen the existing hose on the car, all the R134 refrigerant and lubricating oil will leak/spray out. It is illegal to do that. You are supposed to attach a special machine that will suck the refrigerant out. When you depressurize the a/c system, you have the possibility of dirt and/or moisture getting in the refrigerant lines. So after putting everything back together, you have to "evacuate" the system, which is suck out any and all contaminants and moisture. Then you have to recharge the system, adding oil and R34 refrigerant.

So unless you do refrigeration for a living and have all the equipment, take it to a shop that does air conditioning.
