bad idleing
My car is idleing really bad i know im not good but i just got a full tune up about two months ago. The car acts like it wants to die eveytime i stop at a stop sign or light. When you push on the gas it goes ok but my check engine line is flashing. Dose anyone know anything of what it could be??? i have a 2003 Nissan Maxima GLE V6

Sounds like you need to clean the MAF (mass air flow sensor) or possibly replace it. Make sure you use MAF cleaner. Anyway (before you do anything) when the light comes on again, take your car to Autozone and have them pull codes for you with their reader, then look up the codes on the internet.

Check for vacummn leaks. One of the main culprits of idle problems. Best way to check is with a smoke machine which not to many home mechanics have . Shade tree mechanic way is to take starter fluid and spray around the intake manifold ,vacumm lines or suspect leaking areas. Engine will rev up when you hit the leak just be careful because spraying either on a hot motor can cause a fire . I usually do this when the motor has not been run for a while .Of course if you have a check engine light pull your codes first to see what the computer is telling you.Good luck

My 2000 maxima GLE has the same issue; however, my service engine light is on. According to the computer it's my rear oxygen sensor. I've been lazy to replace the sensor.
on a side note: I've noticed the shaking being worse with lower grade fuel.
