Double your torque wrench capacity

Today I needed to torque my two axle nuts (174-231ft/lbs), but my torque wrench only goes to 150. I looked through my FIL's stuff and couldn't find one, so I called his engineer friend and he told me where to find and extension in the collection of stuff.
It is an extension that is the same length as most 1/2 torque wrenches and doubles the amount of torque applied to the handle of the torque wrench.
This was the perfect length for my Craftsman Wrench.
I set the wrench to 100 for an effective torque value of 200ft/lbs at the nut.

Here is some extra info including some calculators.
