Rings are being redesigned a bit and are now going to be built on a jig vs being hand done. So the prices will increase a few dollars. No biggie and these parts are cheap as hell anyway. I also ordered a new batch of brackets as I have about 4-5 people inquiring. It should be 1-2 weeks until I have them
Sorry for the delay. I sorta have to wait unti there's enough interest to get a new batch one each time. (due to min order requirements from my suppliers)

The machine shops for both the rings and brackets say they are ready. I just have to grab them and reprice the parts. The costs have gone up a bit.

FINALLY. I got them all here and paid for. Bad news is the prices have gone up. The rings are $60 shipped and the brackets are $50 shipped. I had the machine shop put the rings on a jig and modify the design to fit the cobra rotors better. I had a few guys tell me that the rings didn't fit as well as they could have. I test fit these rings onto a spare rotor and they snap in perfect.

So brackets $50 shipped. Rings $60 shipped. Both $110 shipped.

Paypal is "Jeff_Iwata@yahoo.com". Say who you are, what you are buying and where to ship it.

Thanks

Jeff

How much more clearance do you gain with the Q45/J30 calipers vs the 300ZX I have 5.5gen with like 06 SE 17's.

Also what year Cobra rotors?

Rough estimate I would say few inches. But the brackets will move the caliper outward (toward the wheels) 10mm-ish.

There are many years that will work but I just use 1998 year for the rotors.

For your 02 max, you will have to enlarge one set of bracket holes to fit your larger caliper bolts but it's a minor thing and most don't have any problem doing it.

jeff, do you know what size the bolts that hold the caliper are? nissan wants to charge an arm and a leg for 4 bolts ! perhaps home depot is a better place.

This write up from Karim is really a nice thread about the install and parts. It's for the Q/J calipers but it's all the same from a hardware standpoint (4 gen). http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=468945

In gen, HD is limited in choices for metric sizes and more importantly strength grades

great info, just placed order online !

the thing about using homedepot bolts is that none of them are fully threaded, only the first 2" of the bolt is threaded like so:

not so usefull in automotive applciations.

Just sent you money. Guess I'm going to waste more money on the car. Needed rotors and pads anyway.

Just to double check the SS brake lines are like these right
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Stain...QQcmdZViewItem

is there anywhere that just sells the fronts for maybe cheaper. Or is there another line I can use.

Thanks! Lines. Those might work but I don't have any experience with them. I think most use the Technafit ones.

I'm currently in Japan but willl be back in the USA Thursday. Parts are in stock so they can ship fairly fast. ie.. once I get settled in and recover from the jet lag!

Yes I have plenty in stock. You have to make sure you have the 30mm 300z calipers. In aluminum or steel. But they have to be the 30mm size. Not the 26mm size. You will still need to get some lines that fit your maxima and 300z calipers. You will also need to verify that your wheels will clear the big calipers. 17" or larger with the correct offset AND spoke design. There is a thread in the brake/suspension section that details this.

This write up from Karim is really a nice thread about the install and parts. It's for the Q/J calipers but it's all the same from a hardware standpoint (4 gen). http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=468945

Am I right in assuming that by using Q45/J30 Calipers one can use these brackets/rings and fit the 13" Cobra rotors behind stock Infiniti I35/Maxima 17" wheels?

Not necessarily. As these brackets move the caliper OUT(toward the the inner wheel) by 10mm. So if you have these wheels AND you have at LEAST another 10mm clearance inbetween the wheel and where the caliper WILL be (in width and height), then you have a fighting chance. but I can't guarantee anything.

Sorry for the long delay fellas. I originally supplied this kit with the brackets and centering rings for the rotor. The rings centered the rotor if you didn't have the Cobra rotor redrilled to the Nissan stud size. I couldn't find a place to make the rings anymore so I'm deleting them from the kit.

Good news = makes the kit price cheaper. Brackets are $60 shipped via usps priority (48 states and sometimes canada)

Bad News = You have to use Cobra rotors that are redrilled. FORTUNATELY Automax offers the rotors redrilled. (also slotted, Xdrilled or dimpled). He also sells the SS lines and pads.
http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=281773

If you need some great instructions on how to install these parts, look here.
http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=351406
The post is for the Q45/J30 calipers but the instructions are the same. Take note to the hardware specifications (nuts/bolts). I would also add that you need to make sure the nuts/bolts are the same strength grade or better than the oem units you have now.

For those of you that have 2000+ year maximas, you can still use these brackets. BUT you have to enlarge one set of bracket holes to the next size to fit your larger oem brake bolts.

Brackets are $60 / set. Price includes shipping and paypal fees. Paypal is "Jeff_Iwata@yahoo.com". Tell me who you are, what you are buying and where to send it.

I got 20 sets done and I'm informing all PM people 1st. But I'm going to put this exact same message in the for sale sections also. I got more than 20 PMs regarding these so these might sell out again.

I hope I answered all your questions.

Already received a few payments. Again, I've received more inquiries than parts I've ordered. So ordering now will prevent you from having to wait until the next batch is made!
