GI: Brand New Custom Made VQ30 Eagle Rods 720.00 Shipped

I am not quite sure if I would like to sell these, as they are the only set that exists to my knowledge.

These are Brand New Eagle Forged H-Beam connecting rods: Again, these rods were custom made and cannot be found elsewhere. H-beam rods are much stronger than the stock I beam rods, and since they are forged, they are even stronger. Optimally, engine builders want a 2:1 stroke length. These are 2:1 rods! They will support more than 600 hp and more than 20psi of boost or a giant shot of nitrous.

They still remain in the same box they were originally shipped in From Eagle. These have never been installed!

A little history about the rods:

2003:Originally PFI Speed had Eagle Rods CUSTOM make these for Maxima.org member on_alert. He had a custom turbo setup and had plans to build his engine to withstand more boost. However, he ended up parting out his maxima and selling his Turbo kit <Note: The Turbo kit that is currently installed on I30tMikeD's Infiniti> so he no longer had the need to continue with the build. He waited 6 months to have these made.

He then sold the Rods to Member: DesertMaxima who bought the rods with intention of building his engine as well, but before getting around to his engine build he wrecked his bike and needed money for the necessary repairs thus selling these rods to me.

I purchased these back in the end of August 2005 so I have now had them in my possession for about 8-9 Months. I was in an accident that totaled my maxima however I still stripped the engine and was still planning a build however I never did purchase another maxima so I put the build on the back burner.

It has been many months now and I am not sure if I want to continue with my original plans. Hence the reason for the sale of the Rods.

Price: WAS: 750+Shipping NOW: 740.00 w/ FREE Shipping

I would be interested in 1-2 weeks when I have the proper funding again, but do you have any numbers (model, serial, etc) and any more information on the manufacture? I just really want more specs on them so I can compare to the originals.

I am very tempted to do this but am also very frightened about rod fitment. If you can give me anymore information maybe we can talk? Pics please!

I will check the box this evening to see if there is any other information on the box itself. These were custom made so I don't know if there is a model or serial number aviliable but will gladly check.

I will take some photos this evening.

Thanks!

Whoa im sorry to hear that man. Im glad you are OK. I can vouch that these were of the highest quality. I only sold them cause like he said I was in a motorcycle accident. These are not curesed just time and money had kept me from doing the engine build myself. If anyone is also interested in the 9:1 compression pistons let me know i still have em in the box, sorry for the thread jack

At last some pictures, these are not the ones I took rather the ones Desertmaxima sent to me upon my purchase from him. I have taken pictures myself but don't have my USB Cable to upload, I will see about having my pictures transfered to a Disc so I can upload those as well.

Any other Questions just let me know.

Wouldn't you need forged pistons to go with the forged rods??

no not because theyre forged but you would want a lower compression. the forged piston is more durable but you dont need a forged piston to go with a forged rod

Whats wrong lots of lowball offers. Welcome to my world man. Sorry your probably stuck with em for a while Heck how long you think I had em for. I have gotten lowballed so bad for the pistons lately. I even made a post on my thread for sale that you had the rods and that if they bought your rods I would sell the pistons that go with em even cheaper than ive ever offered. Well good luck.
