my maxima's tranny is gone and the mechanic that checked it out kept insisting that when i look for one i get a non locking diff because they had both for the 95 model manual transmissions. thanks a bunch bud
Quick Question. Would it be cheaper to get my 95' tranny rebuilt? OR just take the 5 speed out of another max i have and place that in and make the maxima I drive now a standard

This is a open diff. Maximas come with LSD. Limited slips. This one is not LSD. Those LSDs are hard to come by. It would be cheaper to replace your tranny with another one. Probably be cheaper to replace your current tranny with another one. This tranny has 140K

If mileage is your issue, I can negotiate you giving me another manual transmission in return. Basically a core. A transmission with damaged bearings and that has not been opened. I can do $550 you pick it up and bring your old core.
And canadian maximas..Dont forget that!
Ill pass this onto a freind. He is actually looking for a tranny to. I believe he found one, but if the deal falls through i will point him in the direction.

I'm interested in this, but am wary because of the mileage. Did you drive the car before taking this out? Any input shaft/throw out bearing noises? How does it shift? What kind of fluid was in it?
I would give you my old working tranny as a core, it has less miles than yours does, but the ISB might be going bad. Would you help with the install?

I got this tranny from a vehicle that was rear ended. Guy used the engine and front end clip. Car was very clean and immaculate. Where are you located? Tranny had regular GL4 fluid. If there is anything wrong with this tranny Ill remove and reimburse all your MONEY!!! I live in NC close to raleigh
