Anybody install one of these yet? I'm contemplating purchasing one, would like a "hands-on review" from an org'er before buying.

Yeah, I got one of these, but it's impossible to find instructions on how to install. Kinda wish I hadn't wasted my money... it's like Ralco sells these and expects you to know how to arrange the pieces

Ok... I really wouldn't recommend these at least for anyone with a 2000 Maxima. The ball at the bottom of the shifter doesn't even fit in the hole that it is supposed to. Poor design... or fraud vending? I am not even sure if I should attempt to make the hole bigger.
So far I am VERY unhappy.

Any responses to this?? I purchased one for a 4th gen but I have not put it in yet. Any one got a writeup or run into any problems with the install? Feedback for this product seems lacking...

Okay I've finally installed this, except there was an extra snap ring and extra O-ring which I didn't have a clue where they were supposed to go? Any answers from the OP?

I also had the same experience as Djcjr24- THE BALL DOES NOT FIT IN THE HOLE!! I figured I'd gone so far already, so i enlarged the hole a tiny bit, enough to get it to go through.

Install was a pain, especially with only working with jack stands. Took about 3 hours to do for me, mainly because of all the pieces you had to remove to make it easier.

Took it for a brief test drive. Feels very nice; much shorter and faster shifts!

FSM only has a blow apart diagram showing how the parts fit together. There is no shifter removal procedure. Its relatively intuitive if you're mechanically inclined, but like previously stated, it takes some minor grinding around the stock shifter hole to get this shifter to fit.

yeah if you gotta modify your assembly and grind sh*t down its not even worth it IMO, it should be direct bolt on just like oem...custom fabrication for an almost 80 dollar shifter....i know cosmoracing sells one similiar with less hassle to install as does obx if they still make them

Hey crazthe1nonly, I bought this shifter from you and had it installed for not much longer than maybe 2 months. The shift **** felt slightly loose when i first drove, and the **** was screwed in snug all the way. I've driven my car under regular use, and the shift **** has kept getting looser and looser. I decided to remove the **** to see if what the issue was. I found a whole bunch of shredded plastic coming from the inside of the ****.

I expected this to be decent quality based upon the pictures. Can you send me a replacement ****, because right now, shifting is really annoying with this shift **** kind of turning freely and wobbling around in my hand. I expect you to stand behind your product and didn't expect such a thing to happen in such a short duration. Not to crap on the product- its a nice **** and everything, but I think there was some defect regarding the tolerance the threads inside it were milled at.

Please respond. Thanks.

bump for questions.

anybody have the 4th gen installed and have before and after throw pics?

also, is there a height reduction or just throw?

any discount for no shift ****?

this appears to be decent quality material... sounds like the 5th genners have an issue on the install but not the 4th? it looks a LOT like the B&M and for the cost I may pick one up over the $170 TWM... answers and pics may sway me!

Its been a week... and still no response? This is not very professional, especially when it appears that you're not standing behind the products that you sell.

Seriously, I wish I had gotten the TWM shifter... they even have full detailed instructions on how to install theirs. Thanks for choosing to ignore me. What a way to do business on here.

So it looks like you were on again yesterday. Why am I still not getting a response? I think I deserve an answer and a resolution to a problem with a product that YOU'RE selling. You can't expect to sell faulty products and get away with it; especially after only 2 months of use.
