How many spots is it welded to? 8? (The 6 "tabs" and then 2 in the rear)? Was it worth it?

WOW. They look beefier than the Warpspeed site pictures! Nice job...
Man, if I knew a place that would put them on right for $130 here in town, I'd be all over that! I think the install is the biggest hangup for most people...

BTW, who makes your Y-pipe? ...looks kind of scraggly...

Tell me about it. Took me forever to find someone willing to install it for less than $250. Finally after one month of asking around, someone local pointed me to this place. It's a stillen Y-pipe. I'm going to slowly convert my exhaust system to a 3" unit.

Yes. 6 tabs and then the 2 in the rear. It was worth it for sure. The car doesn't flex over bumps on the highway and feels more solid.

You can feel the difference right alway. The improvement is more dramatic than the RSB or FSTB.

It's good to see you got your SFC installed!
Yeah I like the guys at InsaneRacing. They did a great job on my install I'm glad you are happy too. Maybe they'll get a lot of business from Maxima owners in the area.

How much extra weight did the SFC add on?

I definitely would like to get it, but does anyone know someone in NYC that could install it for me?

The stage 1 weights about 20 lbs.
The stage 2 is about 10 lbs.

I don't know. I haven't touch my exhaust system in over a year now. I heard you just have to unbolt the X brace aka the stage 2 part.

I also think those will be my next mod . What do I ask for when I am trying to find a shop to install them. I have called and a couple of shops were unclear in what they would have to do.

Print the instruction out that's on warpspeed's website along with pictures. Take it to the shop and they will know what's involve. Print it on a high quality laser printer so the pictures would come out better.

Re: Warpspeed performance sub frame connectors pics

Did you powdercoat them or did they arrive in red like that?
The ones on the site appear to be unfinished.

Kashoggio, from the ones I've talked to >>

...who have the SFCs already, the biggest difference is between stock and the Stage 1. The Stage 2 bolts to the gussets that the Stage 1 is welded to, so you should be able to remove the Stage 2 when exhaust service is needed. Or you could actually leave out the Stage 2.

The ride is actually SMOOTHER than stock. with the stiffer frame, the car reacts to bumps much better.

stock: front wheel hits pothole. WHUMP!! rest of car follows it in. entire car flops about for a few seconds until it regains composure and continues down the road. dash panels squeak and rattle the entire time.

SFCs: front wheel hits pothole. WHUMP!! small jar is felt inside car. car continues down road.

As for the exhaust.. you CAN remove the exhaust with the stage 2 on the car, but it's a PIA. it will take less time to unbolt the stage II and remove the exhaust than it would to work around it.
(remember, stage 2 bolts onto stage 1.)
