need help with bubble gum removal
Haha, I had the same problem. I just took white vinegar and rubbed the seat untill the gum came off. No discoloration whatsoever. But try it on a small spot just to make sure. I saw this tip online somewhere.

No no no, get "chewing gum remover". It pretty much freezes the gum, and then you can flake it off. Works kick butt. Used it on my floor mat.

I got chewing gum all over my floor mat today. Where would I find this "chewing gum remover"?
I got this chewing gum remover from high school back when I was naughty. A few of us raided a janitor's cart and I've had it ever since. I think you can get those at a commercial supply house, or possibly even home depot. They have graffiti remover after all. However, if you have those cans of compressed air, I believe you can simulate it by turning those upside down and spraying. I think another alternative is dry ice.
im serious
use a papertowel and put it on top of the gum... get an iron and apply heat. dont go crazy or else you'll burn your seats. the gum will melt and STICK to the papertowel.
you have to see it to believe it.

Okay, I got it out.
The paper towel and iron did help get what was on the surface out but it didn't help with the part that was ground into the floormat.
The upside can of air trick seemed to work the best. I had no idea that stuff came out that cold when the can is upside down. I sprayed it and the gum just hardened up into little pieces and I just scraped them out with my fingernail. Completely gone.
Thanks guys!
