Where to get a stick shift to practice on?

Just wondering while I was reading the thread on clutchless shifting... where can I rent a stick from? All the car rental places around here do ONLY autos, I've checked all of chicagoland's major companies. Any help is appreciated ( I wish I had a manual Max ) I would love to get better and try some of the stuff I read about with a stick shift.

If he practices on a friend's car, he may not be a friend for long . . .

You guys can rent sticks (that aren't expensive exotics)?

Crap, car dealerships don't even sell manuals here, much less places that rent them Then again I haven't checked much myself being under 25...

On move-out day of last year we went in search of a manual U-haul just for the hell of it. Found out all the u-hauls in the city are autos. Not like I like in a one-stoplight town either...city has about 650,000 people...

If you are serious about buying one, the dealer will teach you.
