Marvel Mystery Oil Fuel System Additive

My 99 SE-L wasn't idling as smooth as it used to. I could just start to feel a slight vibration in the steering wheel when idling, especially with the A/C blasting sitting at a red light. I always used a bottle of Techron @ every oil change. Well I've switched to Amsoil Synthetic now so the Techron hasn't been run through in a while. I was heading up to VT for the weekend and I had a bottle of Marvel Mystery Oil Fuel System Cleaner and Conditioner sitting in my attic so I figured what the heck and dumped it in. Then I realized your only supposed to use a few OZ. So now I'm using about 5X the amount I'm supposed to. Well 400 miles later my car purs like a kitten. Perfect idle, smooth as silk, can't even tell it's running!

The Marvel Mystery Fuel System stuff claims it cleans and lubricates the injectors. Seems to have made a big difference in my idle. Has anybody else out here used this stuff or have you used other Fuel System Treatments with good results?

Post away, lets here your comments.

I run STP complete engine cleaner and octane booster. It feels like there is a difference but I'm not too sure if it's all in the head.

I'm a little skeptical of all those additives. When some of them certainly can't hurt, I've read that some can do more harm than help.

Have you ever noticed that some days your car just 'behaves' better than other days? Some days it just feels sluggish and some days it just picks up and goes?

Weather, roads, elevation etc. influence these results....maybe you just had one of those 'good' days?

I use that stuff (whenever I remember to pour it in). My dad said he had been using it for years and its always helped the car, he has never once had any problems with the stuff. I personaly like the juice it smooths out the idle and the accel. to a noticable degree. I recommend it to all people on the org.

How far did you drive after you put the Marvel Mystery fluid?
When I was in school, after driving 250 miles nonstop on the higway, the car does idle more smoother and the engine in whole feels smoother. So a monthly highway trip is good for you car!

Yes....

I also have used and still use MMO. Worked great in two different turboed vehicles and even greater in the Max.
