Help with transmission drain plug

Hey, I've got some redline manual tranny fluid ready to go in, but I cant fit the right sized wrench on the drain bolt. Does anyone know specifically what size wrench will fit it? 12mm slips, 11mm too small, 7/16" too small, 1/2" too big. So what do I do?!! Please help, thanks

Re: Help with transmission drain plug

Sounds odd. I think I always used a 12mm. Sounds like you either have a non-OEM bolt or it's messed up. Can you fit a crecent wrench?

My bolt was stripped. What I did was remove the single screw in the park/neutral position switch and pull that out to drain the tranny. If you decide to do this carefully pry from the larger area of the sensor because it can brake easily. I found out the hard way. Prepare yourself because that oil will shoot out like projectile vomit.Good luck.
