Hello, I bought an Optima Red Top today, it was the 1050 model. Is this the correct size and type for the Maxima? That is what the shop had brought out for my car? I have not tried it yet. Are most Optimas compatible with the 4th gen Max?

I have the same exact battery in my car for the past year or so. Works great especially with cold starts. Im upgrading to the Yellow Top due to the lack of power for my stereo, new police strobes and other neons. The yellow will olny last me about 2 years but will help out with the lights dimming everywhere.

Thanks for the info Anthony.

I had to get a couple pieces of wood and screw them together, now I had just installed it in my car and it is great. The reason for the two pieces of wood is that this one is shorter than stock, and I need the wood for the gap so that it can hold the battery securely.
