I was looking at someone's sig pic of a pop-charger in their engine bay. And I got thinking...What if you just removed the bottom half of the stock air-box, and basicaly secured a KN panel to the top (intake) half, and ran the car w/ it "open" in the engine bay. I'm assuming airflow passing through the rectangular panel would still be a bit less than a larger cone filter, but would it be any better than running it through the twisty ram-scoop's path? Just a passing thought.
