modding car reduce value of car???

modding car reduce value of car???

I was talking to a friend of mine and the person says that the more yu mods yu hav on yur car the lesser the value of the car is this true the person works at a dealership and says they use a black book so i wanna know is this true

It does not leesson the value but does not gain any so its a lose to you

Very true unless you're selling it to someone who appreciated the modifications. A dealer would give you less money, or if you're luck the price of a car with no mods. You definitely won't get money back for the mods unless they are really serious (maybe bodykit, S/C, wheels).

I know that I would never buy a modded car.

You never know about the quality of the work that was done. That is why mods generally reduce the value. Now, no one is going to deduct 20% because of a bolt on intake, but I would walk straight away from any turbo car with any kind of boost upgrade.

I agree, plus u chnaces are with performance mods the person could have taken sh!tty care of the car which is probably why they would be selling it
