New pics of new rims!

OK so they're kinda old styled and they're chrome but I like the bling bling effect. I used to not be into rims, but for the amount of stares I get I love them! Rims rule!

Edit: I spent most of yesterday lowering the rear of my car. I also polished the chrome wheels. The insides were disguisting full of brake dust, but using an SOS pad and water I was able to get most of the brake dust cleaned. I must have crossthreaded 3 of the tuner lugs before cause I wound up ruining 3 of them and breaking studs off. No worry, I bought locks and restudded.

As for the pics, I know I know I should wash my car and my bumpers (front and rear) need repainting. And, I need to loose the track numbers and put the rear seat back in. I painted my rear brakes black and left the front ones gold. I ran out of paint and patience last night.

Since we're limited to the amount of pics here, here are a few others:

Hehe, nope 17s". I weighed them. About 47 pounds vs. my stock 16" which are 45 pounds. The mass is larger though, so it should slow the car down, but I really didnt feel it slowing down the car that much. The car rides alot stiffer then before.

Those tires are 1 size too small. 235 40 17s. For this car it should be 235 45 17. Anyway I spent all freakin day yesterday workin on my car. I spent probably 30 min. polishing each rim. An SOS pad with water works wonders on the innards of the wheels where there was a ton of brake dust (dont do this on painted wheels). And then finished off with Blue Magic polish. I'll have new pics out later.

Those look alright. I thought you were a go-and-not-show kinda guy though? Time to get some 15" steelies or something for the drags?
The tire shop has to love you by now

Bling bling, dawg. One thing though, this won't help your weak, as you say, trap speeds

My God those rims are beautiful! Great job polishing...but I bet they added around .3 of a second to your 0-60.

How much did you get them for?

What do you mean you spend most of the day yesterday lowering the rear of the car? Did you cut your springs? BTW what springs do you have? The new pics look sweet - This one is my favorite.

Well I thought I was gonna go for a change. Dont get me wrong speed takes priority, but I gotta compromise. I still have the stock 16s for drag racing. The kicker is I just bought new tires for my stock rims. Now these tires are almost in need of replacing. Hmmm.... another FWD humongous burnout....this time on chrome rims...

I spent most the day workin on the car cause yes I did it, I chopped a coil off the rear springs. The height sits about perfect now, and there was ZERO difference in ride/handling etc. I have the Sprint Springs and the rear just sat too high. I used a dremel with a reinforced cutting disc while the springs were submerged in a bucket of water to dissipate the heat. I spent probably 30-45 minutes on each rim between SOS padding the inside and then using Blue Magic chrome polish. After that I encountered some technical difficulties, including 3 broken wheel studs. So it was back to the store to buy more studs, and then wheel locks.

Oh lord I hope not...I only SOS padded the inside of the rim cause there was sooooooooo much brake dust. I dont care if I dulled the inside, anything woulda looked better then the dust. SOS padding the chrome would have probably destroyed the chrome. I heard that fine steel wool is OK for polishing chrome though.
