Anyway, Shing mention J&S Safeguard. I called and talked to John at J&S. He mention that he's working on a unit that might work for the Maxima. He's working out the kinks to the unit. It will be another six months. John mentioned there is another company that sells a Timing control that might work on the Maxima. It's made by http://www.splitsec.com/ It's the TMC1. I talked to someone there and they don't have any specific application for the Maxima, but willing to develop one. So if anyone that's Supercharged or nitrous. You might want to check into Splitsec.
Here's some info on J&S.

I'm pondering the samething. Most of these unit will cost around $600. That's alot money. I'm going to go ahead with my nitrous install and just rig a light to monitor the knock sensor. If my ignition really needs some retard, I will then looking into getting one of these ignition retard module. I guess I'll just take a step at a time. Don't want to get something that's not going to be useful =). That money can go to my carbon fiber hood. lol

But is it really that important? I know detonation = BAD...but do we really need it?

Tony, for ~50 hp you wont have a problem with the timing. I wouldnt worry about it till you hit ~75+. I will probabbly need it for 100hp shot. Keep me updated on the knock sensor light.
Vic, if you want to run up the boost it is a neded, for 7-8psi its not, but I'd imagine after that it would be.
The split second stuff looks good, thanks for the link Tony!
My friends 1.8T VW Jetta will haul *** with the 1.8t bost controller!
I talked to an EE friend of mine and hes's working on some thinks for the timing issue.
I need to get a FSM, if anyone has one CD can you send it to me, or ISO it and upload it to my FTP site!!! PLEASE!!!!
