Help ... check engine light is on
Help ... check engine light is on
I did some 60k maintenance items on the car today (plugs, PCV valve, fuel filter, cleaned TB) and it seems to be running fine but the check engine light is on. I read the procedure on how to run diagnostics and get the code from the ECU, but the tag around the screw hole says "idle speed adjustment", it doesn't say anything about diagnostics. Can anyone tell me what the deal is with this? Why is my car different than other 4th gens? I have a 99 SE-L. I know my car has some different emissions crap that is more in line with the early 5th gen models. Maybe they switched the ECU around for some reason too. Do any of you 5th gen guys have "idle speed adjustment" on the ECU instead of diagnostics? If so, what do you do instead to get the error codes? Thanks for your help.
