But then again I LOVE those...I just want it to be perfect. If I coat them, I'm bringing your pics (tyler and luke) to the guy so he can get an idea...so I appriciate the support.

The only problem with powdercoating them according to Dave B. is they will proly have to blast off the polish from the lip as well.
But...hopefully they could repolish it for not too much more $$ if they can at all.
