2.4 isn't good at all. I'm running the same thing. My best is a 14.91@94.3mph with a 2.41 60 foot on very bald RSAs. I hoping for atleast a 2.2 60 foot maybe 2.1 now that I've replaced my severely worn shocks with Koni adjustables in the front and KYBs in the rear. After wacthing my car on video, it was very clear that my car was bouncing and rocking on the launch and the 2nd and 3rd gear shift. My car bites much much harder with the stiffer shocks. I love it.
The rule of thumb is for every .1 you shed in the 60 foot, you'll shed almost .2 in the 1/4 mile.
Things to try next time out at the track:
-"Shallow stage"- this means creep very slowly until the stage light goes off. What this does is gives you a quicker 60 foot because you've got about 5" to accelerate before the timing beams are tripped. I haven't tried this yet.
-Drop your air pressure in your fronts to about 25psi and raise your rears to 38-40 psi.
-Keep your engine cool, run about 4-5 gallons of gas, pull out the spare and jack
-Run on your stock wheels. Big wheels slow you down.
Honestly if you have an automatic, you'll probably do no better than 2.3-2.4s because of the lack of torque and gearing. Not until you get NOS or a SC will you be able to pull 1.8-2.2 60 foots.

i highly doubt you pulled a 1.9 60' ..
yes neel for automagic's like us 2.4-2.3 is all we can hope for ..
but no it's not good.. to get good times you should run like 2.1-2.0 60's
my cuz with the AWD turbo eclipse got a 1.9 60' .. so i doubt we'll get getting anywhere near there without AWD and a 5-speed...

Ant
I know of one auto Max pulling 2.0x 60 fts on 17" wheels and tires. (Kevin you are a bum
) So, it can be done...and no its not me! I run mostly mid 2.2's (best 2.23) with my 5 speed and the stock wheels/tires/suspension.
But, a 1.9x on street tires? I havent heard of that this side of an AWD or possibly a RWD car!

that's about right
It's still horribly slow but that seems to be what Max's do. I usually get 2.3 or 2.4's and usually with a ton of tire spin. Best bet I've found so far is to slip the clutch at about 2000rpm and feed in clutch and throttle. About the only way I can keep the stupid thing from lighting up 1st gear but it ends up in equally bad 60ft times.
My 1/8 mile times are 9.8-9.9 range usually, can't remember my trap speed but I rememember that this guy in a highly modded Civic Si was out there pulling 10.0's and he was doing a trap speed 1mph better than mine every time. Pissed me off.
Best run in the 1/8th is a 9.7 when I was running against my roommate's Integra Type R. He did a 9.9 but bettered my trap speed.
I'm a 5spd with 225/50 SP8000's, by the way.

I need to run on slicks just one time with a real low slick like 22x8 in a 15 inch. I should run 13.6-13.8 @98 with that combo. I am just scared to run the slicks for some reason, like I am doing my trany any favors running now...

For a "good" 60' time, see my signature.
