K&N Filters...hmmm

I came across this and was wondering what your opinions are after reading it.

Yeah I Heard something like this that K&n doesnt do good with sand but the sponge like ones do great. I say just dont drive near sand or in a sandy place. The site I saw this under recommended not to do any dirt racing or anything with sand if you have a K&N filter use the Sponge like kind.

YUP! And I bet if he does the same tests with his sponge filter setup he's going to get the same results.

I think paper is the only thing that's going to stop 100% of the sand from getting through. He may also have issues with leaks around his intake setup. This intake is for a dirt bike. Imagain how much banging around that intake takes when he's slamming down a dirt trail track.

Our cars sure don't get into places like that and our intakes are not subjected to that kind of abuse.
