y-pipe

Hey everyone, Does anyone know if the joint where the y-pipe and cat connect, are they connected by a bolt that runs through the two pieces of metal or is the bolt welded onto the cat itself? If this makes sence! I'm having so many problems getting the bolts off where the cat and y meet.(rusted all to hell!) I'm thinking of just hacking it off and putting another bolt through it if I can. Everything else is done just can't get those off.

theres 2 bolts that connect the cat and ypipe. if you can't get them off (mine were rusted to become unit) just hack the bolts off and then use new ones.

Go to Nissan Maxima upgrades and it will give you the information about the differences between MIG and TIG welding.

Pipe

Guys, after 2 days of trying to put this ****ing y-pipe on, I finally did it? WOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOO! Those bolts where the cat and y meet were rusted to all hell and back. hacked them off and got new ones. I love this pipe. I have stock exhaust and you can even hear its rumble through that. I love it! Can't wait till my frankencar comes in now! Peace
