I think it would be very helpful if you edited the listed and point out who has LSD. You could also possibly add my name to the soon to be 5-spd w/ LSD, hehe.

Replace your auto ECU with one from a 5-speed. That also gets rid of the momentary high idle speed after revving the engine.

 

That's correct.

Replacing the auto ECU with the 5spd ECU gets rid of the CE-L light and that brief high idle. The 5spd ECU allows the car to revv much freer (sp?) below 2000rpm.

If you want your cruise control back, you have to swap the auto harness out for the 5spd engine harness. Or you could ghetto rig it.

Swapping in the 5spd ECU/Harness for the auto ecu/harness will make your car 100% like a factory 5spd.

 

how hard is it to ghetto rig it? can't i just ghetto rig a park neutral safety switch to the hand brake? that way the ecu won't think the car is park right??? would that take care of it?

 

I'm not sure how hard it is, but how well would it hold up and would it work 100% is the question.
