Having constantly trounced my buddy in his new '00 Jeep Grand Cherokee V-8, he asks if he can drive my car. I'm like sure, give it a whirl. So I hand him my keys and get in the passenger seat. (It feels a hell of a lot faster in the passenger seat by the way). Anyway, we go into an empty parking lot, he runs it WOT up and down a couple times, big *** grin on his face. Then, on the last run he comes flying up to the end, and unexpectedly yanks the parking brake, then turns the wheel, failing miserably attempting to do a 180. What he did do was lock-up my back wheels(obviously ABS doesn't work w/ the parking brake), and skids the rear wheels about 25 feet. Nice patch of rubber on the ground. He's like "sorry dude"...So he hands the keys back to me, I drive off, but there is a "thump-thump-thump" that gets faster as I drive faster. when I parked, I looked at/felt the tires, and there is a "flat" spot on both the rear tires (I'm guessing from the skid). So they're out of round now. This just bites. He's going to get me a new pair, but still...He's not driving my car again. Anyone else do that to their tires?

Ain't nothing like drifting sideways into a parking spot in the snow! I have gotten to be quite the master at it in Michigan

No snow here in NY though (at least for now)

I think he was inspired...

I pulled a 180 on gravel the day before with him as the passenger, he thought it was cool as $hit...but stupid tried it on DRY pavement today. The tires have less than 20K miles on them...there is NO tread left on the patch that got "skidded off". I guess my kids will get that tire swing they always wanted. hehehe...
Freezing rain tonight...tomorrow should be fun.
