How loud is your max? what other exhaust upgrades do u have(cat, b-pipe, muffler?)? I know there is a major improvement in horsepower, but is the noise bearable or unbearable? I am thinking of gettin the y-pipe but don't want the severe increase in noise, actually my parent's can't stand it, so any suggestions greatly appreciated. thanks.

Idle Noise

is barely noticeable unless you're specifically looking for a noise difference. It'll give it a little bit of vrrmm, but not very much. Under WOT conditions, mine sounds a lot like a CAI (hisses) and the vrmmmmm of the engine is a fair bit louder too, but how often do your parents slam the gas? .... And as far as other mods affecting the noise, that's the only one I've got in there .... now =)

If you get an aftermarket exhaust as well

Then it will be 'quite' louder... mine is too loud for me... but then again i'm feeling much older nowadays...hehe

With a stock muffler you will hardly notice, add a cat back, then it gets a bit load, but still more then bearable.
