2 big questions
1) do they reduce wheel hop
2) what are their effects on NVH (noise, vibration, harshness), particularly if you're dropped and/or aftermarket rims/tires.

I can't say anything for wheel hop (I don't even push the car that hard) but,
NVH are ALL increased. If you have a slight imbalance then it will be amplified on the highway. But I'm pretty sure it's only because I changed the control arm bushings (big, fist-size urethan bushings). I do like the increased steering feel though.
After reading a review of the 745i, I know how to correctly term steering characteristics now.
"Steering feel is standard-issue BMW with relatively high weighting and excellent feedback."
With ES bushings, weighting is increased, which is a very good thing.

Oh, and if you care a lot about your ride quality, I don't recommend the control arm bushings. They really stiffen up the steering feel when you're on cracked or uneven pavement. If you like feeling connected to your car like that though, then they're okay. For the price they were worth it, it's just a matter of preference on how much vibration you want to transfer to your steering wheel.
If you're getting them to reduce wheel hop, I don't think it will do much (too bad the radial arms aren't out yet becuase I've seen your thread about wanting them so badly).
