OOGLIE Dent Removal? Anyone?

Has anyone tried to remove their own dents? I can't see spending $100+ on it for my girlfriend's Xterra. I tried a plunger and got nowhere? I basically need a really hardcore, flat suction cup.

How do the "pros" do it?

I used one of those suction cup things they use to lift floor tiles off a raise floor (Like in a Server Room).

That worked perfectly on my old car.

Just caugh up the 150 bucks and bring it to dent Dr. They have the correct tools for the job, one of which is not a plunger!

Hey Asu ... this is at least the second time you've professed your love to Annette. Should your fiance be worried?

Ill buy the product also after I see some before/after pictures. Also, what was the suction cup thingy doing in the auto store? What's the real purpose for it?
Thanks

I found it by accident since i was walking through the store not really looking for anything

went down the body repair aisle with the bondo and fiberglass kits

first i saw the drill that professionals use to pull out dents

then i saw this little black thing next to it....and the words "dent puller" caught my eye

and I was sold!!!

it's sole purpose is to pull dents!!

I just bought one. Here is the info

Manufacturer: Bondo
Item: Suction Cup Dent Puller
Reorder # 954
UPC: 076308009540

I just tried it on my girlfriend's Altima and was unsuccessful. That dent was like a crease. Waiting for her to get hom and try it on her Xterra.

Pep boys did not. Checker did. It's about 5 inches in diameter, although I don't have a ruler.

I think you could easily pull a big dent out. But this seems to be worthless on dings......

And yes, Ms. Thicknes....I will ALWAYS love you....

you posted just before me!!!

nice to know that i am appreciated in a room full of dudes!!

I had a big dent from the midget who hit my car last month, and it pulled that out effortlessly. I had tried to push it out from the other side after removing the door panel but counldn't reach it.....

i also got the court summons today for that accident. So i get to go and testify that he won't give me any money to paint my car, replace my corner lens, fix the underside of the front lip by the foglight and replace my bent rim ...oh joy what fun!!!

how SMALL of a dent can this fix? 5 inches asu?? dag thats kinda big!
well mine's like a nickle to quarter size and i have various small hardly noticeable ones too. so you say its not too great on dings?

so what negative effects do you think are Possible?

so far the most negative thing that can happen is that you will still have a dent!!!

i have been walking around my apartment complex looking for cars with dents and dings

i can pull out the dent....but i cant pull out a ding

anything 2.5 inches or smaller in diameter is still there (so it wont work on your nickle and quarter dings...and it wont work on penny and dime ones either )

and the bigger ones are gone....now I have to go back outside and charge everyone for my services!!!

Haha, collect for your services.. what kinda buissness are you running here you dirty girl.. j/k, by judging at the picture it looks rather large and I highly doubt it will work on any small dents, maybe a large dent, but what the heck for 2.99 it's worth a try i'm going to buy one.

It is posts like these where I am glad to work for a company that has connections with body shops, window replacement, and dent removal. I had about 7 small dents that I was charged $40 to take out on my car. Now if the guy comes and has to take a dent out of a rental he asks if any new ones showed up and will take them out for free. I am gonna miss this part of my job when I quit.

Did not work on the Xterra. The dent needs to be enormous for it to work.

Going to probably buy that $30 kit and experiment. Hey, it's got a money back guarantee....why no.....
