Cleaning window tint
www.tintdude.com has some helpful info
i heard you spray ammonia on it and cover it with a plastic bag.. then take it off after some time....
but...
what i did is go to pepboys and pick up a tint removal kit.. it includes a solution and some other stuff... u can spray it on your window after u peel the tint film off and then scrape off the sticky residue with a razorblade...

Re: Cleaning window tint
I just use regular windows cleaner on there, haven't had a problem yet.

Any suggestions for cleaning windows with tint on them? I hear there are special tint cleaning products but hoping that some basic household stuff can do it? Lemme know?

I dont think he wants to get rid of his tint. Anyway I was instructed NOT to use anything ammonia based (windex...), but to use something alcohol based.
dude just get some eagle one, or anything for that matter, that says tint safe. its true, ammonia will turn your tints purple. the alcohol in window cleaner does nothing but make the liquid evaporate faster to avoid streaking. it is harmless for the tints.
I rarely have to clean my 5 windows that are tinted. but when i do i jus wet up a washcloth and wipe over the window and then take a dry one and wipe. works good everytime. i do the same with my dash because i hate to spray something on there cause it seems that it atracts more dust. and when im at a traffic lighth i just take my feather duster and dust away.

try vinegar and water, and use a newspaper to clean it, saw this years ago on a detail video, i think if you use regular window cleaner, eventually your tint will turn purple

i'm an idiot
i misunderstood him then...
What one tint shop told me is to just clean it with regular bath soap and water... But that tint shop did do a horrible job on my 1st car so i dont know how much truth there is in that.
