NOS thread sealling

ok i have a little problem.

i am in the process of installing my NOS kit. the thread sealant i used was a teflon based thread sealant. in the instruction it states that i am suppose to use teflon paste on all the 1/8 npt fittings.

the problem is the teflon paste that i used is not drying. it stays wet. i have applied it on sunday and it is now wednesday night and it is still as wet as when i put it on. is this ok or sould i tear down my solenoid assymbly and clean out all of the sealant i have in there right now and use a different kind????

what kind of sealent did you guys all use for your nitrous solenoids. please specify what brand os sealant and where eyou got it from??/ thanks for the healp

Advice from NOS installer

Some may disagree but, the guy that does the installs for a local speed shop told me to use LOCTITE blue on all of my fittings.

There are many other people here who have installed kits so good luck!

I used the paste on my installs and never had any leak problems. As someone stated, I believe that it never really "dries" as you may have thought. I never really noticed to be honest. I just know that it has never leaked. Use it.

Remember to be careful not to get any at the end of the fitting, so you don't clog a solenoid or filter.

teflon paste will not dry. follow the instructions on the packaging. it tells u to put some on the threads and screw the 2 parts together. that's it...it won't dry. if you're leaking with the paste on it then you either installed it wrong or the two pieces are not mateing together right.
brand is loctite..avail at most part stores. comes in a small white tube.

i appologize for not answering your question, but where would be a good place to purchase some nitrous oxide?
