NON-Max owners: What do you drive?
NON-Max owners: What do you drive?
What do you drive, how does it stack up, and why are you on this forum if it's not a Max?
Me: Own: Nothing (struggling college student, have enough trouble saving enough money to buy smokes and take the train)
Drive: 94 Mercury Sable (on occasion...belongs to the old man)
Does it suck: pretty much.
3.8L V6 140hp 225 lb-ft (torque only saving grace, considering the messed up lower engine bearing won't let us take it over 2500 RPM)
Why am I on this board? Well....the old man asked me to find a new car for him, and he's a fan of the sleeper sedan idea, so naturally, I came to the Max. Also, my favorite car that the fam has ever owned was an 89 sentra (slow, but very fun in the wet) and the Max is a bigger, faster, better-looking, more luxurious Nissan. I was going to save the sentra to restore 15-20 years down the road for ****s and giggles, but now my fascination has shifted to the Maxima.

At the moment i drive a 99 toyota camry.
I wouldn't say it exactly stacks up, packing about 135hp at the crank through a stuttery 4 speed automatic.
I've been on this forum since before i even got this car. Since the first time i drove the Max, i loved it. It has much better performance, and is more comfortable; just as reliable.
If everything goes well, I'll be getting a Maxima for Christmas and my dad will either be selling my car, or keeping it and selling his.
I do have access to a 2001 Pathfinder though, which i have aptly named 'my vq' until i can get the Maxi home
