In any other vehicle even with my 8500 I stay at 85mph or below with my max and no detector I do 95mph and slow to 85 when I think theres a cop up ahead. I swear I try useing the cruise but even with that I max it out at 96mph. Dam maxama its to easy and comfortable to speed! I think I will try to sue nissan

 

I really speed with my Honda CBR600F4i bike. One crack of the throttle and I've over 100 easy.

 

i def. agree with that. when i came up to college i was averaging about 93. i went 110 and it was so smooth, but ill never do that again, right after i did it i realized its not safe. and never go 80 in the rain, i did that on accident and my car started to hydroplane, never been more scared in my life.

 

No, I pretty much stay around 65-75 but I have to admit every once in awhile when I'm strictly on the hgwy I run my Max sometimes getting up to 115-125 mph.

 

Tend to average about 87 on the highway per my trip computer in my 02, this will apply to my 97 as well.

Nope. I've already taken the class for going 20+mph over once more than I'm supposed to for a lifetime. Even with that in mind, I was more prone to speed/accelerate hard/run through gears in my old integ...I think in general I'm more liable to drive harder in a raw car rather than something as smooth as the max.

In the max I just cruise and bump the stereo most of the time.

 

Most definitely. My Toyota truck wouldn't even go passed 75 unless I drafted someone.

 

I tend to average about 80 on the freeway. It never feels like I'm going as fast as I really am (kinda nice to know how comfy the Max's ride is). It's funny especially when I'm driving my mom or my girlfriend somewhere and they're freaking out about me going 95 when I'm thinking I'm only going 75 or 80. In my Eclipse, it's totally opposite. Due to the noisy 4 cylinder, I think I'm going hella fast, but I'm only going 70

 

I tend to speed more in my Max than my previous car (240sx). However, I get pulled over way less in the Max. The 240sx looked like a "sports car" to cops whereas my Max looks like a "family sedan".
Also, my 240sx was red, my Max is black...I've noticed it has helped a lot. I've driven by cops going faster than I used to on my 240sx when I got pulled over and now, they just ignore me. Got about 8 speeding tickets in less than two years with my 240sx and lost my license for 30 days. Only got one (knock on wood) with the Max in almost three years. Pretty drastic eh?

 

i drive consistently 80mph on the highway with the max..living in ny..u dont wanna get screwed with the points.. 80 feels like 55..anything less than that..you feel like youre going tooo slow

 

yea, i drive way too fast in my maxima. That's because the other car i CAN drive (parents' restriction on their 530 beamer) feels like it's going to die when i reach 80 (96 altima.. god, that thing is a piece of shiet. My parents wanted me to take that car instead of the maxima, but i said "hellll no")

 

Yea man, can't even feel how fast your going w/ the max!! Topped out at 115 mph last week, and i thought i was going max 85mph

 

I know going 65 on the LIE and you feel like your going 30mph,
I keep the speed down in traffic but at like 2:30-4:30am on the parkway Im usually around 85-100, unless its raining, I hate driving in the rain,

 

It's probably because it handles speed so well that you don't notice it creeping up to that speed.

OT - can you cahnge your sig pic - it screws up the browser window 'cos it's too wide.

 

It is because in my gxe the suspension was shot but now in my SE with the new suspension I dont even notice, plus 75mph is about where 65mph was marked on my speedo in my gxe so when I glance down Im so used to having 65 up top that I dont even notice im doing 75

 

Hell yeah! I average 90 mph on the highway. On runs to Vegas I get up to 130 or 135. Mostly average about 110 to Vegas and back. Still feels like I'm going 60.

 

Yep. I average about 80MpH on the freeway. I used to average about 55MpH in our Land Crusher lol. As for my other ride, well, you wouldn't want to speed in it.

Two reasons why i speed with my max....1) the acceleration is so light and the ride is so smooth, it doesn't feel like you are speeding at all. 2) it's my car, I can use and abuse it. Plus I rather get in an accident driving my own car then when I drive anyone else's.

Not for me, I speed no matter what I drive. Either it's my car or my sister's Accord, or my dad's conversion van(although I get a bit worry at high speed with the conversion van because the lack of handling capabilities).

 

i'm sure that everyone who has put performance mods on their max did so to drive faster. i drive way too fast on roads that i drive on everyday and am familiar with

 

definetly... even all my friends say it feels like we are going slower then we actually are. infact me and my girlfriend were fighting in the car, and i was going alittle too fast un-intentually, and a cop pulled me over!!! i was so upset because my car is not registered and i didn't want him to impound it! so he came up and asked for license and registration. i handed him my license, and then reached for my glove box to make it seem like i had my car registered. so while i was fishing through all my stuff the cop says "organ donor huh? plan on donating anytime soon?" of course i said no, and he gave me a little lecture, and then he let me go scott free w/o looking at my registration!!!!!!!!!!!! i was sooooooo lucky! well thats my story, sorry, i had to share.
