anyone with weelskins.com leather cover?

I went to their site and interested in a 2-tone steering wheel cover and just wanted to see if anyone here has them and if they would give input on how they like them and how well they hold up against wear. thanks.

I have the Wheelskins two-tone grey/black cover from JCWhitney.com...$40.00 and about one hour to put on...you have to sew/stitch it on but it is well worth it in more "grip" of the steering wheel...

I've got the same 2-tone black and gray one, also from JC Whitney. I have several issues with it.

First, because the leather is thick, the seams that join the different colors are rather thick. At least they are in a position that is not uncomfortable.

Second, the edges that you stitch are rolled over and glued. This hardened glue breaks off in little pieces and gets between the wheel and the cover. I had to call Wheelskins and get more stitching thread sent, take the cover off and scrape off all of the excess glue.

Third, I bought some leather cleaner (Eagle One, IIRC) and it removed the gray dye. I've used it on my Leatherseats.com leather and have not had any problems.

I have a solid black cover from wheelskins, and I was very happy with it for the first couple weeks, but then some spots near the top starting showing signs of wear from the "palming it" or whatever, so that sucks. I would like to find a cover with a more durable cover with maybe a little harder leather. Other than the wear it has a great feel.
