Water Spots

I have some water spots on my paint(majestic blue). I washed it and its still there. I waxed it and its still there. I used the clay bar and it still there(didnt press really hard though). I used meguilars paint cleaner and its still there. Does anyone know how to remove stubborn water spots?

you could use a cutting compound, but I personally wouldn't. I would just make sure I keep it clean and waxed and hope it blends and fades over time. What color car?

You could try 3M Swirl Mark Remover. It usually also works on imperfections like that. Follow the instructions carefully.

Now that I think about it, Meguiars scratch x may work too if you can't find 3m products.

You can try to dissolve them with vinegar.

Soak a cotten towel with the solution and apply it, wait a few minutes and wipe if off. Then follow up by washing the car to neutralize any vinegar left behind.

If the vinegar doesn't work the water spots may actually be etched in to the clear coat. Which can be caused by acid rain and sunshine combination.

If thats the case then you will need an abrasive like swirl mark remover/scratch X to remove them.
