5 Speed Owners - Red Lining
Curiosity...I have 64K on the Max. Suppose I redlined every gear from here on in. Would that have a large impact on the life of my car (I'm sure). And WHAT are the NEGATIVE effects of doing this way too often. Would something give, wear out, break, or just straight up fail after a while?
Personally, I would love to redline every gear because VQ power
is just, where it's at...but I love my baby too much to rip her around all the time. Thanks for any help...
P.S. I did my search and didn't find an answer to what I'm looking for.

Redlining the car should not really hurt it if oil is good and other internals are in good order. There is a liiter ot prevent damage by revving too high. But as pointed out above after 6300 rpm or so its kind of pointless since you start to lose power. I used to shift 1 st 2nd and 3rd gear above 6000 rpm almost every shift (75K miles of this type of driving) but now that I have another faster toy, I drive it more civilized.
