My lovely Maxima's rear window has been broken by a falling tree branch, make it mess. Today, the glass shop came to fix the rear window and the job is great.

However, there are many small glass particle slipping to the bottom of the car, making noise when the car in sharp turn.

So, is there any way to get those particles out? like move back seat etc, easy or not? And procedure? Or I have to live with it.

how much did the back window cost?

 

They came to my place fix the window. They quote 560 for part and 60 for labor, 20 for materials, plus tax the total is $700+. Insurance will help me. This window is a OEM window which make me a little bit unhappy. I asked local Nissan dealer and they only need 450 for the part.

As for the noise, I found the glass particles slip down to the valley on both side of rear trunk - On right side, it is the place just below the jack.

This coming weekend I plan to take out all trunk's carpet(bottom and side), then use a flat vacum or finger to get out those particles.

Also, the seat belt and back seat folder **** will slip in tiny particles, but it should not cause trouble or we can find way to solve. Designer already consider it!!

The real trouble is the scratch and small dent on my 01 maxima, which I washed and waxed frequently to keep it shine as the first day. Now it is a used car!
