What are their times and how do they compare to a supercharged maxima besides the obvious awd?

Those cars are sweet. I've read 0-60 in mid 4 second range with mid 12's in the 1/4 mile. Top speed of 160. I think they are rated at 320 HP. Anyways, its a sweeet car. You don't see a left hand drive one that often. Very rare car. Wish I had the cashflow....

well
times for that car are insignificant cuz you can always turn up the BOOST to get better times..
as far as comparing it to a supercharged max..
in straight line acceleration i guess it would be somewhat close .. the closest would be on the highway .. but off the line i dunno.. i guess it would run high to mid 13's stock ?
BUT , the EVO will melt the maxima in anything else.. It's a road race car .. it was built to road race.. it's built to be pushed to the limit in every way ... handling, braking..
the maxima is FAR from that ....
I didn't know they made them in LHD tho ?

dam...The Lancer EVO Lancer is phat...!!
I only saw these in HK which people mod the car with turbo and supercharger. These cars are fast and is very popular in Japan...Man, I wish I had the $$$ now. but, I thought the driver side should be on the right for these import cars?? hmmm....

1) Those aren't that rare, there is one right here in NY, owned by a young Asian kid, he imported from Australia, LHD. Street legal and all that but he isn't allowed to sell it ever, which sucks.
2) They are I4 intercooled-turbocharged, pushing more than the 280HP they all claim. It does 0-100km(~62mph) in 5.1s, so I doubt it will run 1/4m in mid 12's.

true.
cuz cars like F40 and Modena are only about money, and there are enuff rich ppl in this country will buy them.
but a car like Lancer or Skyline likes, you need to be a real car guy to be willing to go thru trouble to import it and commit to all the rules and reg come along with conversion certificate.

Lancer Evos are bad news...
For whoever is racing against it, that is.hehe The standard Lancer Evo VI puts out 280, but like Woody said, it's gotta be more.
There's also the Evo Extreme model sold in the UK. If you've seen the Mitsu 'Zero Fighter,' the Extreme has the same bodykit. It's upgraded to make 340hp, and can blast to 60mph in 4 secs flat. I want one bad...
The Lancer is basically a Mirage, but with an uprated 4G63(Eclipse turbo) engine with a bigger turbo and AWD. The cylinder head had to be flipped 180-degrees to fit it in the engine bay, tho.
If you saw the Nov. 2000 issue of Turbo, they had Sean Glazar's Mirage coupe with an Eclipse engine transplant. Think of it as a front-drive Lancer. So it's possible to build yourself a LHD Lancer here, although it'll be a bit crude. They might even make them from the factory in LHD. Who knows?
