Re: Re: laws
and of course that's why he'll say "not to his knowledge" and sell it "as is". If he answers "no" *and* writes it down and you find out later it was in an accident, you've got him. If he answers "no" and doesn't write it down you're screwed. If he answers "not to my knowledge" you have no recourse.
if he answers yes he's a moron.

Ask him...if he says no, and it turns out that there was something wrong with the car (accident, tec...), then he is selling the car under false pretense...very bad for him, could be VERY good for you.

Do what I did...have a friend act like a mechanic and start poking around under the hood, looking at door hinges, etc... In my case, there was nothing wrong with the car. Either way, 2k2wannabe, is right...GET IT IN WRITING. Don't take "My word is good" BS. If it's not in writing, then you can't prove anything.

see I have already bought the car and couple days after I hadf it I noticed the paint was different up front on it a darker shade. So I asked the dealer why it had been painted he had no idea why. Later on in the month I started experiencing extreme shaking of the car at like 50. Took it to mechanic found out it had a bent engine mount and broken tranmission mount. I feel as though I have been taken I paid pretty good for the car but I dont know if there is anything I can do about it. All feedback is gladly welcome
please help

Read up on the no-lemon-laws in your state...Basically, if there are problems with the car within a certain time period, you can return it. Also, when you bought the car, did they sign off on any kind of inspection sheet?
