How would a 4th or 5th generation compare to the last generation Legend. I believe they could be had with a 6 speed and 230 HP in the top model. Anybody have any info?

I'm not sure of the actual numbers, but the odler Legends with the 6 speed were wicked sleepers. Looked like a big Honda or Acura sedan, but unbeknownst to the challenger, there's a pretty damn potent motor and 6 forwards gears under that hood. I think a legend coupe or sedan with the 6 speed would be faster than any gen of stock Maximas.

The older Legends were not that big a deal, I beat them all the time. The newer ones will give you a run 4 your $

Those 6 speed 230 hp Legends are rare and hard to find. But watch out, they are fast.

Legends are very nice....

I think the last generation Legends are some of the best looking cars on the road for those years.
I whooped a 1990 or so old Legend in my 3rd gen Maxima. But the old ones have only like 160-170 hp stock in V6. Then there is the infamous 6-spd coupe Legend with 230 ponies, this car came out in the later years like 94+ I believe, thy can most likely kick some serious *** but they are heavy as hell like other Legends, so that plays quite a role. I think a good 5 speed 2k1 AE can take that Legend, stock for stock.

Yea my buddy has a 93 Legend 6 speed

(230hp stock). It's his beater ride as his race car is a 97 supra (12.1 @115 mph).

His Legend has a greddy catback and a weapon R intake(100,000 plus miles on the car).

I raced him from a first gear roll(pre SC days of course) loaded with a catback and RTcat. He took me by a car and a half. Obviously things are different now that I've got an SC but those cars are quick out of the box.

My dad has a 95 Legend

I've raced him plenty of times stock for stock and beat him every time. Both of us have autos. That Legend can do a mean burnout though. When I had my 89' Max, he smoked me like I was standing still. And that was over 80 mph!!

The 6 speed coupe does a 0-60 at best of 6.3 sec. quarter in 14.8. Those are the best reported magazine times stock.
I'm betting your dad's 95 is the 200 hp sedan (L or LS). The GS sedan and the coupe have 230 ponies.
Could be close with a 2k max, but with equal drivers, the Legend should win.

GS sedan LS coupe had type 2 motors....no such GS coupe.
The GS Sedan, and any 93-95 coupe has the the type II motor. I know there is no such thing as a GS coupe.
