275/35 or 265/35 tires

I am looking at new tires for my 18x9's tirerack(i know, scary.) tells me I can fit 275's on a x9 wheel, but that we can only fit 235's on our car...

can I fit 275's without rubbing?

how about 265's ? they are the same price

and I understand that with 275/35/18's my speedo will be off about 2% , I dont mind..

255's or 265's, anything thinner and it will look a bit wierd on a 9, not matching type of thing. Seem like pretty heavy wheels, but with that new y-pipe, I dont think it'll matter too much.

Can I fit 265's or 275's though on our car without rubbing when i turn the wheel and stuff though? They arent tooo heavy, I want to say 24lbs for polished 18x9's? ... and yeah, the umm ypipe and noisemaker help too, plus i've got slicks coming so it wont matter at the track.

and i dont street race (remembers all the times in court.. .... !!)

Those are pretty light for 18X9's. You may need a weird offset wheel to do 275, I know unclemax, which I'm sure you know of him too, he has 265's in tha back.

I'm not sure what he has in teh front, but I'm sure they're not wider than a 245. 4th gen Maxis seem to have more room for wider wheels and tires out back though, so the 275's may rub, or even look weird.
